FAQ’s
General Course Info
Your course fee covers all tuition, as well as all tools and materials.
All our courses are beginner-friendly, unless stated otherwise.
Fresh coffee, a range of teas and biscuits are provided on our courses.
Unless stated otherwise, all our courses are held at our workshop at Bridge Farm.
There is lots of free parking available on the roads outside of Bridge Farm and underneath the fly over. Please do not drive up into the farm.
Gift Vouchers
You can buy gift vouchers from our shop! Here. These can be used directly to book onto our courses.
Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. No partial refund can be given.
All our gift vouchers are valid for one use only.
Bookings
Details of workshops on our website may be subject to change. We reserve the right to cancel or move a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, including illness.
If for any reason we are forced to cancel a class, we will notify you as soon as possible. In this event we will transfer your booking to another available class or refund your course fee in full.
Once a booking is made you should immediately receive a confirmation email. You will receive another email 3 days before the course with specific details for the day. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam.
Please note – these emails will be sent to the email address of the person who made the booking. If you are buying a class for a friend, it is up to you to pass on these details.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel or reschedule your booking for any reason up to 14 days in advance of the course. However, please give us as much notice as possible so that we can offer your space to someone else.
If you would like to cancel or change your booking at late notice (within 14 days of the course) and you do not have an exceptional circumstance, we cannot reschedule or refund you. Last minute reschedules/refunds are only available in exceptional circumstances at our discretion, and you must inform us before the course as soon as possible by emailing us at bristoltreecraft@gmail.com
If you test positive due to Covid-19, please do not come on the course. Let us know as soon as you do and we will do our best to fill your place. If we are unable to do so, we will offer you a 50% refund upon proof of a positive test.
Booking For Another Person
If you’d like to book a place for a friend or loved one, we recommend our gift vouchers for that personal touch! You can book them here.
You can also book a place directly on another person’s behalf. Simply make the booking as you normally would and state the name of the person attending in the ‘Additional Info’ box at the checkout.
Concessions
We offer a limited number of discounted ticket prices for our Beginners’ Spoon Carving Course, on a sliding scale. These are available for anyone who needs them. However, we have given some guidelines to help you gauge what bracket best suits you.
This is a trust-based system; we do not require proof or explanation of the rate you choose.
Community Partnerships & Projects.
We firmly believe that craft and the benefits it offers should not be available only for those with disposable income, and that often those who have the most to gain from woodcraft are those who are least able to access it. Overcoming these access barriers in order to give people greater voice, resilience and joy in their lives is the principal reason we exist.
As such, the majority of our workshops make up our Community Outreach programmes. These are comprised of weekly 3-hour sessions with people who face systemic obstacles in their daily lives. Our groups include young people accessing mental health support services, adukta in recovery from addiction and refugees/asylum seekers. We work in close partnership with Community Organisations that have longstanding experience with these groups (for more info on our partnerships, see our Partners page.) Always, our focus is on imparting skills in a safe, nurturing space, creating more equal access to local green spaces, and providing a platform to build confidence, form connections, and have fun.
