THE GREEN MACHINE

Where play, nature and creativity meet.

Free, pop-up crafts workshops that bring children and families together to get creative outdoors.

Children and adults at an outdoor event, with some holding handmade wooden ladders and colorful painted boards on the ground, smiling and enjoying activities.

Using natural and up-cycled materials, we use heritage tools and traditional techniques to spark curiosity and imagination. Over time, we work on collaborative creations that grow week by week—giant Snakes & Ladders boards, colourful wind chimes, living willow structures, and even a magical “Jellyfish Forest” of fabric tendrils that shimmer in the trees.

Each programme is designed to encourage artistic expression through accessible, hands-on activities. From weaving, tying and plaiting vibrant recycled fabrics, to experimenting with natural dyes and woodworking, there’s always something new to discover.

The Green Machine is open to everyone. Whether you come once or every week, there’s always something to join in with, something to make, and something to take pride in.
